The boyfriend and I are starting our very own ebay store. We are specializing in signed comic books, as well as offering other comics and comic related items. No worries, once we launch, there will be links posted.

But that was only a needed introduction to the point of this journal.

We have decided that we want to do a once a month auction of original, one of a kind, signed artwork donated by artists in the comic book industry and those trying to get into the comic book industry. The special thing about these auctions is that ALL MONEY COLLECTED from highest bid will be donated to The Hero Initiative.

For those of you who don't know what The Hero Initiative is click this [link] it will tell you all about how you can volunteer/donate. To sum up, Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays' creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It's a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

So, what we want to know is:
How many of you fantastic creators would be willing to do a one of a kind piece, signed, and donated for us to auction in the name of Hero?
Would you be willing to, if you posted the piece here, make it non-downloadable so that it stays a one of a kind print?
Would you be willing to send us the piece so that we can ensure safe, reliable shipping to the auction winner?

We want to be as fair to the creators as possible when I involve their artwork. So PLEASE give me any input and ideas on this as a creator.

We want to:
Offer a new piece each month to go to this cause
Give the creator links to the piece so they can check on it and see how it is doing

I cannot stress enough, PLEASE give me input as a creator what you would be willing to do, or what you would like to see from something like this. We will be launching next weekend, and would like to see this up and running very soon.
